Goode is commonly grouped with the Pop Art Movement but was also associated with the Light and Space movement. He has sought to explore themes from his childhood in Oklahoma and recreates the experience of looking through things such as milk bottles, windows, clouds, fire and tornadoes. His works are in the permanent collections of The Art Institute of Chicago,The National Gallery, London, LA County Museum of Art, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and the MoMA to name a few.
